Programme
Atouts
The IC2 LLM offers a unique educational experience through its international approach, its balance between theory and practice, and the diversity of profiles it brings together. The program fosters an intercultural dynamic by assembling professionals from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds encouraging learning through complementarity and the sharing of best practices.
Designed for full operational immersion, the curriculum follows the entire lifecycle of international construction contracts — from project preparation to closure — relying on numerous practical case studies, analyses of major standard contracts (FIDIC, NEC, etc.), and an in-depth study of key international legal trends. Courses shall be taught by highly recognized international practitioners from various sectors of the construction industry, ensuring a knowledge transfer rooted in real-world experience. The number of seats is deliberately limited to maximize the quality of exchanges and to keep interactions within the group exclusive.
The program is offered in a hybrid format, allowing students to choose between on-site learning in Paris or online distance learning via a dedicated digital platform. Students enrolled in the distance learning program have access to live classes as well as video recordings, available at any time. On-site learning offers reduced tuition fees but requires mandatory attendance at each session.
The programme will be carried out over 1 year, from September to June, for a total of 161 study hours. Teaching days will be held in Paris over 3 days once per month (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday).
The first 2 modules will be wholly dedicated to the fundamental legal principles which govern construction contracts in the main jurisdictions across the globe. Thereafter, the modules will follow the contract life cycle in a very hands-on/practical manner, from the project preparation and procurement phases through the execution phase to close-out. Under each module current international trends will be addressed. Extensive reference to international forms of contracts, such as FIDIC, will give participants a complete picture of the best world-wide practice.
